For Cat-G8 Full-Height, you should measure between the two points where the mounting brackets will be installed, not just the clear opening.
In many homes, the width of the opening is different from the bracket-to-bracket measurement due to door frames, walls, skirting boards, or other features.
To ensure you order the correct size, always measure from the position of one mounting bracket to the position of the opposite mounting bracket. This is the measurement used to determine the correct Cat-G8 Full-Height gate for your installation.
If you have an inward-opening back door, the Cat-G8 Full-Height gate should be mounted to the outside of the door frame. This allows the door to open inwards freely while the gate spans securely across the opening.
The Cat-G8 Full-Height is designed to be weather resistant, making it suitable for this type of installation. For outdoor installations, we generally recommend the Chrome finish, as it offers the best resistance to the elements.
